Patio is a great diversion from reality...           Chapter 7

The next day Blue was up early enough to hear the rainstorm passed overnight. He walked around picking up tarps, shaking water off of them, and lining them on the clothes line. The day had a nice feel overall, and that was always a blessing. The girls were still sleeping, so he went to his computer.

'Hey Blue and Patty,

Just wanted to let you know I had a chance to show off a couple houses. I know Patty said you two were moving. I just wanted an excuse to see you two before that happens. I can pick you up and take you out to lunch and possibly dinner. I will bring your kid a day full of food in a cooler. That should be enough of a reason that Patty can leave her behind.

Love to hear from you

Patio CEO

Patty was standing behing him silently. 'Blue, can we go?' He turned and let her sit on his lap. 'Patty, do you feel well enough to do that much walking?'

They quietly discussed the idea and came up with a plan.

The family room had a nice feel to it. Blue did like the furniture in the home. It was simple and not obtrusive to the room. The home had a large screen television he loved. Nothing was better than a large screen if you were to view television. As they lived outside, they did not own one. ‘You can see by the walls that they are fabric. A new way to cover the walls, and it is happening everywhere. Feel them, you’ll see’.

Blue shook his head. ‘A problem already Steven?’ ‘Oh I don’t know about fabric walls. With a young child it can be quite messy.’ Patty smiled and agreed. Patio just closed her mouth and led them into the bedroom.

‘Now this is nice. The feel of this room is comfort and calmness. Look, it takes you to the backyard.' Bluesage did like the bedroom.

'Oh yes, you should go see the backyard Steven. It’s so nice outside with the trees they kept on the lot. I try hard to have them save as many as possible. ‘

Patio and Steven went outside while Patty stopped off in the restroom. Now you see we have the children’s play area in sand to help with falls. Bluesage liked that idea. The outside did have a wonderful feel. The birds in the trees were loud, but he liked that. Mockingbirds would marvelous.

‘I do like this for certain Patio’ he said. They walked back in just in time to see Patty standing in the kitchen.

‘This is nice Blue. I do like it.’ She was hopeful he did too. ‘Patty, let’s see the rest of the house first please.’

‘Good idea Steven, let’s go upstairs Patty and I’ll show you the size of the other rooms. Nice size for a child or even a teenager.’

The girls headed up while he followed behind. Their chatter was a bit of a bother to him. He was becoming a bit annoyed by this.

He had concerns for Patty and the baby. This might be harder on her than she thought.
