Evildoers have Becka charmed...or do they?                                    61

The three told Becky they had an adventure she would have to stay out of. They were talking about the bank and she interrupted them. ‘Wait a minute, I was there and got all they had I think.’

‘No we have watched the bank and it was refilled this day. So we have to go and get more of it out. The thing is though; you aren’t going inside with us. We have plans that you are not to be a part of.’

While Evelyn spoke to Rebecca, she had a box of matches in her hands that she was moving from one hand to the other. It was making Becky somewhat nervous to watch her do this. The overall tension in the home increased. She loved their costumes though. She had one in her backpack. She wanted a blue one like Evelyn had and they found her one. She walked around parading for them. When they all hand them zipped and buttoned, they took turns looking over one another to be certain no skin showed.

As they began to walk out the door, Becky remembered her bag. It had the bear that Cierra had given her to hold. She ran in, got it, and followed them out to their car. On the trip there, the girls sang songs to keep the mood light. Becky had no idea what songs they were singing, but she liked the tune.

As they drove up to the bank, her heart sank. She felt a stab of guilt for the fear she had caused earlier. She had such a desire inside to do something with the money that these three girls would cringe over. She herself found it foreign to think that maybe the money should go instead to an orphanage. There were two in the county and they needed money all the time her mother said. Becky looked out the window and felt a tear inside her blue costume. She patted her cheek to make it dry. She knew they didn’t need to see that.

They all four got out. Evelyn says low and devious, ‘Now you listen here girls. I will talk and you will follow me. Little one, you are not to go inside. Stay out.’ Cierra who was the most tender of the triplets disagreed. ‘Eve, let her come in for the beginning. She can learn so much. We’ll send her out for the hot event.’

Evelyn scowled at her younger sibling but let it go. They walked in and everyone stopped and stared at them. They were frightening as the first skeleton that had been to the bank.

‘You are going to give us all the money that truck brought to you this morning. We know you have it and we are going to need you to get it for us.’ One of the employees was trying to hide and not look at them. He remembered the little one earlier that had scared him with that long blade. He did not see what these girls were going to do, but he was afraid.

Becky helped them get the money into the van. Then as she was following the girls back to the bank, she was stopped. ‘No you don’t. You stay outside now and we will see you soon.’ Becky went back and sat in the van with the windows rolled down. As they three girls got the employees backed up, they lit their matches. They dropped them on the carpet and it began to flame.

All of a sudden the door opens and Becky is back inside. She saw the flames and her mouth opened wide.

‘GET HER OUT OF HERE NOW!’

Cierra escorted her out the door and bent down near her face. ‘You must not remember what you saw little one. Now go get in the van and wait. Please don’t come back in.'

No one survived the fire. She climbed into the van and began to sob hysterically.

She hears them and holds her breath. She cannot let them see her. Dad falls into her mind and she sees the way out, is to be calm and centered. The three are all talk as they get in. Cierra sees Becky and tells everyone to shut up.

The girls drove off in silence. Becky clutched her teddy bear
