She wore an itsiy bitsy teenie weenie purple polka dot bikini....      

                                        Chapter 18  

The ride in the SUV went smooth. David was asleep the entire trip. The baby was still in the car when the couple got out. The driver had to unbuckle the car seat and his parents just had to wait while that was done. Bluesage was not happy with his suit. He had a great pair of shorts to wear to the beach, but this was one of those establishments that required their suits. Patty was smiling as he was scowling. ‘Blue baby, you have always looked sexy to me in Speedos.’ He looked at her and shook his head. The attendant then handed Patty her son and drove off. 

As they walked towards the beach, both had memories flood their minds: 

Patty can see her tiny two-year old running to the shoreline to feel the cold water. She had on her pink and purple polka dotted sun suit. She can see her strawberry blonde hair just barely touching her shoulders, too thin to braid yet. Her squeals when her feet touch the water still can be heard in her mind. 

Blue sees his wife with the string bikini he bought her for their third anniversary. She was hot in it and made others turn to stare. Blue would walk with his arm around her and enjoy the fact that others found his wife attractive. He can also see his little girl on his shoulders as the three of them walked to the beach to set up their blanket. She liked to pull on his ears and pretend she was ‘driving her daddy’. 

Honey, I think the sun is too much for him. We need to get him inside.’ Steven heard what she said, but also was watching the large shark. He had made arrangements for a sitter to stay with their son while they searched. He saw the shark walk toward them and he knew what that meant. ‘Patty, we have a sitter for David. Come on upstairs and we will meet her and get the baby settled.’ 

The shark came up to Patty and told her that she was going to watch the baby. Patty picked him up and kissed him. ‘You mean you are going to watch our son? In that costume?’

‘No ma’am, I will change into clothing. Come on upstairs so the director can have you two sign the papers.’

The director arrived and scooted them up the stairs to the first room. They had half a dozen papers to sign prior to leaving him there for a few hours. Terra came in and introduced herself as Markie the Sharkie. The Director finished up with the papers and left the room with instructions on what to do when returning. 

Terra had a bunch of hungry kids that wanted to see the new baby. Patty picked up David and introduced him to them, being careful that the children did not breathe on the baby.
