Fireside lights dazzle 68

'This little boy has a surprise for you daddy. I think his eyes are just as yours. I see a spark in them that I saw in yours when I saw you so many years ago.'
'Hmm, I think he has your deep love of life if you would ask me.' She sat down, feeling the warmth of the fire. 'Gosh Blue this feels so good. Hold him please while I settle myself on this grass.' He greatfully took his new son into his arms. The fires of Love shot into dad as he held this warm bundle of SimsGod. She remembered her baby bag and ran back to the tent for it. As she was there, she also changed the sheets on the baby's crib. Blue watched with utter amusement. Her level of energy to straighten was enormous.

'Alright, I feel better now. Hey daddy, can I have the baby again, or do you want to keep him over there with you?' Her little one was staring at his father's face. She gathered him into her arms as he took the blanket out of the bag. They lay him gently down and watched as the firelight danced in his eyes. He was very alert and his arms waved as his little legs kicked.
The sheer joy on the little boy made both parents tear up. They took turns bending over and kissing their little boy. He seemed to sense who was who. As mama bent down, he began to squeeze his little face and then holler. It was too funny not to laugh at him. Then she took the time to change his nightgown and diapers. It was a short time of feeding, burping and rocking before he would settle to sleep.

The feeling of fullness gathered them both into a corner. He held her tightly for a few mintues. 'Let's sit and talk to SimsGod, shall we?'
They had the time needed to get tangled feelings sorted out. She had a deep hole inside that became a swirling black hole. It devoured her feelings in a way that she had no escape. SimsGod was her strength, along with her husband. In time that black hole would be gone. She prayed for that to happen when her sweet baby girl came home. When those thoughts started, it was hard not to sob while she tried to recenter herself. Blue came and sat next to her.
