Patty and Terra spoke for a bit. She found that Terra painted all the paintings in the hotel. She was an avid painter, which made Patty think of Becca. Of course Steven realized where her head was going and he hoped she could speak without tears. Terra was pleased to hear of their daughter painting and the two got into a discussion on places to send her when she grew up.
Kids barged into the room, all full of noise and laughter. It made Patty laugh to see their joy. Soon too little girls began to whine they were hungry. Terra had the baby in her arms rocking him when they started the noise.
‘Shush now girls. I have the Allen’s baby boy here. You two go find your daddy the Shark Man and see if he is ready for lunch. I’m sorry Mr. And Mrs. Allen for the interruption. They are my twin four year-olds and they are the hungriest two kids I ever did see. Oh, that reminds me Mrs. Allen, does he drink formula 101 or formula 102?’
Patty opened her bag and took out three bottles of her milk she had pumped and brought along. ‘He is a breast-fed baby. Please feed him these as he cries to be fed.’
Blue walked Patty out of the room. They stood on the landing looking out at the view. She signs deeply and he hugs her. ‘It’s okay Patty, we’re not leaving him here, we are only letting him visit. We have work to do, let’s go walk the beach shall we?’
