The next morning was spectacular. The family laughed and chatted about the forest lives they had. Becky had very fond memories of their lives in the trees. She watched dad each time he went to find food. He acted surprised, though of course he knew she was watching. Mom told Becky that she woke when Becky was walking outside the tent with the baby. She had just checked on him earlier. The baby had woke and tried to turn himself. He is young but determined to do things he is not supposed to do yet. Becky laughed and talked about how fun it was to take care of him
All day they worked on the castle. Each room had stones that needed to be checked some cleaned. The castle had been used some time ago for a meeting of a large group. They had become violent in the castle. That was one reason the overall cost for the home was smaller than expected. That evening Steven gave the family a bit of a lecture. He has been watching others, and sees many of them do not take on their own responsibility.
As little David slept soundly, Patty and Becky listened intently to his interest in their lives. Ladies, it is not anyone else's job to make you happy or fulfilled. What you choose to be is what matters. We all have times when things don’t go our way. Some of us spend countless hours being upset over it. Some even try to find blame somewhere or with someone. Best choice is to just move on past what happened and find something really good to pass by.
Even when things are at their worst, that is not ever a reason to give up and lose all hope. We can’t control anything but ourselves. Things will happen and we are capable of moving away from it. It’s our nature not to stay there. The mere fact that you feel happy is a true sign of your knowledge. Happy feelings are a natural part of our bodies. We were born to have happy feelings. If you spend your time with a happy feeling, you will see more happiness in your life.
It’s just the true nature of our World. If you want success, you must take on the responsibility of feeling successful, so you shall have success. Feeling as a failure will not allow the successful world to surround you. Your life is yours to live. Embrace the responsibility and all that goes with it, and your days will be filled with true richness.
Their dinner was a delightful change. Carrots and Celery with raccoon skinned meat grilled in the microwave. They loved dad’s odd characteristic cooking skills. He always had a reason, something that the carnival had taught him.
Thunder boomed loudly. Everyone stopped and looked at one another. The lights blinked, and then shut off. ‘Sit still, it will turn back on.’ Very quickly their power returned. ‘Blue, our tent is still out there; we should go get it.’
Becky sat with David and read out loud to her brother. She stopped periodically to check on him, as a good big sister could be. Her parents were getting soaked as they ran around the yard, picking up stakes and poles and pillows. They both were laughing hard when they came into the courtyard of their home.
Patty shivered as the air had turned colder. Bluesage waved his hand over them and they became dry and comfortable. She gave him a sweet kiss. ‘Gosh it’s great to have a magic man so close all the time.’
