When I stand here taking every breath with you

You're the only one who really knew me at all

He stands inside and watches the police cruiser go by. He can see she has a huge donut in her hand and about to take a bite. Blue locks the front door and puts a spell on the door. No one shall enter without dire consequences. Bluesage has a heavy heart. He is sad but knows he will find his son. He walks over to the table and picks up the frame set. Becky smiles so lovingly at her brother. His heart swells with love for his children. A pain hits him hard and takes his breath away for a second. He looks at the pile of clothes in the basket. Perfectly in alignment it seems. She was on top of what she could control. His heart ached for her deep sadness. Blue loved her so much. It makes her pain deep in him also.

He shut the lights off and went to find her. As he walks down the hall he sees the wet spots. She has been wiping down the walls it seems. He shakes his head and knows the pattern; the deeper her stress, the cleaner her home. Steven walks in and sees she is standing in front of the cradle. Her hands are clutched and she is twisting her fingers together and then apart. She turns to look at him and tears flood her face. Quickly he gathers her in his arms. She turns to him and he swiftly picks her up and takes her to their bed.

He loves her slowly and gently, giving her permission to relax and feel comfort. The lovers held each other for some time afterwards. ‘Blue, will they be good to him?’ Her voice cracked, as she spoke.

He kissed his fingers and put them to her lips. ‘Yes my love they will be good to him. I feel strongly this is not evil after us. I think it is fear and desperation.’ In time they both were able to sleep.

She was thinking fast inside her head. This has to be washed, it's dirty with sour milk. She walked around the castle, picking up imaginary clothes to wash.  She carried the basket around. She began to talk to her basket.

'Oh I know you like to go for rides. Maybe tomorrow daddy and Becky will take you to the park. Mommy has so much laundry to do, I smell sour milk everywhere David.'

As she walked into the bedroom, she sat the basket down.  ‘Yes baby, mommy will change your clothes and you can have a bath. Oh and then when I get you all dry, I will feed you. First you have to get out of this little bedroll.’

Blue stirred, felt the bed. She was not in bed. He turned and put his glasses on. ‘Patty, is that you? Who are you talking to gal?’ As his eyes focused he saw. She was sound asleep and talking to the bedroll they carried the baby when traveling.  He saw she had done more laundry too. He smiled and got out of bed. His wife never failed to surprise him in some way.

She used to do this sometimes when they were first married. Heavy stress brought it out in her. He looked at her face; she was frowning, which led him to take her away to the other side of the room.

Blue started to talk to her quietly and begin to slowly raise the volume. Patty began to stir but not fast enough to satisfy him. He thought about it a moment and shook his head. Yes he would give her a spell to soften the blow and get her back in bed and safely asleep. He looked at his watch. Three  in the morning, and he had to be up at five. With the new events of the evening, his next trip would be to Robin.

He first spoke more to her. ‘Every moment you spend worrying will bring whatever you're worried about closer to reality. That's certainly not what you want to be doing my sweet beloved. Instead, take each worry and turn it around. Put your energy where it will do the most good.’

He looked at her and she was stirring, but her brow told him she was far from able to sleep. He looked her up and down and decided it was time. He began his chant and soon she was able to follow his suggestions and get back to bed. He held her and sang a sweet song quietly in her ear. She fell softly to sleep. He kissed her forehead and slept well, himself.
