Patty had a fitful night of sleep. She had vivid dreams of a fight but could not see with whom. As she pulled herself out of bed, she sat thinking about it. Why would I have so graphic a dream, without knowing who it was? She sighed heavily and got into the shower. As she let the water hit her face, a thought crossed her mind.

~~Beloved, check your email. I love you~~

She gasped and turned, thinking she heard the words in her ears, not mind. No one was in the shower but her. She held her fingers to her lips, oh how she missed him. Patty finished, dressed, and began breakfast. Upstairs she could hear Becky dragging herself out of bed. It seems maybe she had a rough night too. As the green batter was poured into the waffle iron, the phone rang. Patty closed the lid of the iron, and went to see who would call at seven in the morning.

Becky walked in the kitchen as her mom hung up the phone. ‘Who was that mom?’ ‘Becky, are you wearing that same dress again honey?’ Patty smiled, knowing she was not going to bother her daughter about the dress. If it made her happy, that is all she cared about at this time. ‘Darling, come sit and have some waffles. I had some ground up human skin with some turtle eggs your dad froze; made a beautiful green waffle.’

As Becky waited for her plate, she kept her mouth closed. Mom said she was wearing the same dress, but mom was wearing the same outfit she wore yesterday, also. That made Becky worried to a degree. Mom brought two plates to the table and they both devoured their meal. ‘Now here’s some good news for you; remember our neighbors?’ Becky looked up and a large smile had grown on her. ‘Mom, are you telling me something about them? ‘

How would you like to go stay for a weekend with them darling? She picked up her dishes and walked to the sink. Becky had not said anything yet, as she was helping herself to her third waffle.'I really think it would be fun to play with Patio's girls. Becky, I have to go check my email; I’ll be right back. Please rinse off your plate for me.’

'Okay mom I will.' Becky watched her walk up the stairs. She walked like she was hurting, and Becky knew it was from playing on the trampoline with her. Mom wasn't a young person, she was very old in Becky's eyes. She did like the idea of staying with Patio and her little girls. They were lots of fun to hang around, and it might help mom if she were alone for a couple days.

Her only email was from Blue, which made her heart jump out of her chest.

My sweet blue eyed wonder of my life, how are you darling? I see you got my push. I wanted to give you a heads up on something I have worked on while I am away. Dr. Armitage in the medical library would like to meet with you Patty. I have sent him your resume’ and you have an appointment with him today. I trust you will find your way there, but I shall give you directions to further your assurance you will have no worry.

Darling, if you cross the street outside our house, turn to your left and you will be walking north along West Street. In just half a block you come to an intersection. To your left lies the Axton Field House and a large Track Field. To the right, you see R.C. Memorial Hall, that’s the Liberal arts school. You also see the Charles Tyner Science Annex and The Atwood Science Hall. Far ahead of you and to the left, you should be able to see the White Chapel Mortuary. If you cross the street and go into the college, you shall see the library as it is the only two story building on this side of the college campus. There is a wonderful vegetable and fruit store you might enjoy. Knowing you and your curiosity, you might enjoy a volleyball tournament the kids are having today. The track might be fun for you to stop and see. You have time Patty. My good friend knows you are on foot and has the whole afternoon open for you to arrive at any time. No pressure whatsoever; I want this to be a positive experience for you.

Patty, fill your efforts with meaning, and that meaning will give those efforts a level of effectiveness that cannot be reached in any other way. Life will hand you many different situations and circumstances that is for certain. Your best response is always the one that is the most sincere my precious wife. There is a wealth of abundance in the person you are. To fully tap into that abundance, let your actions be guided by real and meaningful purpose. Let your efforts flow from who you are, and real value will flow from those efforts. I promise you that dear Know I am close and shall return soon: Always my love for you and our children

Patty shut the computer down and went to see Becky. She told her of dad’s email and the idea of him coming home made the visit to see Patio a concern for Becky. ‘Mom, if daddy comes home while I am at Cindy’s how will I know?’ Patty saw her girl begin to shed tears. Patty went over and held her tightly. ‘Oh Beckster, your daddy is a special daddy. He is a magic man besides all the other wonders of him. I am sure we will come and get you if that is going to happen. Now let’s get you packed up to go. Patio will be here shortly.’ The girls skipped up the stairs and talked of what Cindy had been doing lately.'
