She put them back in the case and walked further down the street. Leaves danced on gusts of wind. Patty held her skirt with one hand while clutching her basket with her other. Her hair blew in the wind, she was thankful she selected a long sleeve sweater.
Young boys were on bikes out in the road, trying to ride with out hands. She laughed thinking of when her elder brother had tried to show her. She was able to do it quite easily, but he turned to look at her and ran his bike right off into the gutter. She still could feel the amusement and delight that she could master something he thought he could do better.
In the distance she could hear a roar, which was the Track and Field House. She debated on if she should go venture in that direction. Her watch told her she might have time if she didn’t take long.
