And Everything Under The Sun Is In Tune But The Sun Is Eclipsed By The Moon!

Becky and Patty finished the song with loud gusto that made them both laugh. It was just what they needed to break up the tension that had developed over night. Talking of sunlight gave them both bright faces of joy. Becky took this time to share good feelings and thoughts; fueled by her talk with dad. Patty kept pushing her cold food around on her plate. Becky knew dad had to get back soon. Then she remembered something.
'Mom, can we have marshmallow topped fingers and toes for dinner tonight?' She watched her mother's face. Patty rolled her eyes, 'Oooo fingers and toes, how about we add some belly buttons too?' They giggled and both finished their meal.

A loud rumble outside the window. Patty leaned over looking out the window. 'Your ride has arrived ma'am.'
Becky began to pick up the plates, mom stopped her.
‘Listen honey, I think today I might try to volunteer for the EMT space. I got a call the other day, this particular time they are shorthanded. I won’t be gone more than a few hours. I shall return before you come home.’
Becky hugged her tight. Dad had somehow helped with this; he had mentioned it to her. She felt certain of that information. ‘Okay mommy I am going to get to school for today is about Self Responsibility’.

.....The lunatic is on the grass. The lunatic is on the grass The lunatic is on the grass. Remembering games and daisy chains and laughs. Got to keep the loonies on the path.....
Patty heard the last part of that song and became crazed. She ran out to catch Becky as fast as she could. Her breath was coming in such short bursts; her oxygen level was low enough to make her dizzy. As she opened the door she yelled loudly ....THE LUNATIC IS IN MY HALL...Becky stopped, was almost afraid to turn around.
