Even with the hard night, David was still a good baby. He woke mom often, but was easily settled or amused. They both slept well enough to wake with a good heart and smile. David was awake, watching mom and dad. She opened her eyes and was so pleased.
'Look at you little one, watching us. Did you wonder if we would wake and talk to you David?' Blue grabbed his glasses and began to push good morning blessings to his family.
Becky sat up and listened to David make baby talk. It was mostly noises and breathing, but somehow it sounded like baby words to her. Blue sat up, 'How about a quick breakfast? I can whip one up for us, how about it girls?' Both of them agreed.
Steven transported himself over to their table. He had a chipmunk waiting for him. Blue bowed and gave blessings to the family, as he took the animal into his hands to begin their meal.
'Mama it was really a strange story on the radio. It was about aliens that landed in the country. They had black clothes on and some wierd looking heads.' Patty had the baby in her arms, protecting him from his sisters words.
'Please, let's not talk about this in front of him. Oh look Becky, daddy has our meal on the table. I wonder what it is today?' Becky laughed and ran ahead to see what he had for their meal.
'A family of the squirrel nation allowed our food substance to build us up. We have a long happy trip for some fresh vegetables, right mom?'
He was excited about their day so far. His mood was high and both girls loved to see him this happy. ‘Hey, won’t it be nice to go shopping girls? There is a nice market and I think I remember reading of fresh fish being brought in.’ Patty swallowed and smiled bright. The thought of fresh fish made her want to go now. Of course, the market did not open until noon and they were up early .
